YEREVAN. - There are no preconditions for early elections in Armenia, the head of Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) parliamentary group Heghine Bisharyan told a press conference, commenting upon opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) statement that the main point in authorities-opposition dialogue agenda is the issue of early elections.
She said that lately ANC softened its rhetoric and no longer pursues early election discourse.
“ANC already seem to realize that the time before elections is too short and they have to prepare for them,” she added.
Touching upon the format of party’s participation in coming Parliamentary elections, Bisharyan cited the words of Orinats Yerkir leader, National Security Council Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan, who did not rule out the possibility of the party’s consolidation with another political block, should it be created based on the strategic interests of the country.
