YEREVAN. - Armenia increased consumption of electricity by 3.721 billion kV during the first six months of this year, which is 16 percent increase compared to last year, Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan told at a press conference.

Domestic consumption of energy increased by 7.5 percent and the export increased by 63 percent.

Compared to last year, Armenia’s population used 11 percent more energy. Armenian small and medium business sector increased the use of energy by 18 percent.
