The Statistical Committee of Armenia has issued the main macroeconomic indicators presenting the country’s socioeconomic situation in 2021.

In particular, the economic activity index of Armenia increased by 5.8 percent in the year past.

Also, the country consumer price index increased by 7.2 percent, the prices of industrial goods—by 9.9 percent.

Industrial production grew by 3.3 percent, trade—by 7.5 percent, construction—by 7.4 percent, and services—by 7.8 percent.

Agriculture, however, fell by 1.1 percent.

In 2021, foreign trade of Armenia increased by 17.7 percent. The country’s exports increased by 19.1 percent, while imports—by 16.9 percent.

But electricity production fell by 0.6 percent.

The average monthly nominal salary in Armenia increased by 7.6 percent, making 204,048 drams. The salary in the public sector increased by 5.2 percent (179,174 drams), while in the private sector—by 8.4 percent (215,674 drams).
