A tragic incident took place in Yerevan on Thursday, shamshyan.com reported.

At around 2:20pm, the police received a call from the ambulance service informing that an ambulance was dispatched to a house where dead bodies were found.

At the same time, the 911 emergency hotline received a call informing that there was fire in the aforementioned house and there were burnt persons.

The firefighters who arrived at the scene found two dead bodies in the said house.

The police and investigators who were dispatched to the scene found out that Hovik Gh., 64, and Sirvard Ch., 67, a married couple living on rent in this house, had been exposed to smoke as a result of melting of the electric panel of this house.

According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic doctor, no traces of violence were found on the bodies.

A number of forensic examinations have been ordered on this incident.
