YEREVAN. – Armenian budget saved AMD 4 million as a result of scrupulous checking, Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arthur Grigoryan told journalists on Monday.

The number of pensioners was reduced by 6,000 compared to the beginning of the year as a result of checking details. Currently there are 514,000 pensioners in Armenia. 37,000 files of the pensioners were set for checking in May, 2010. 26,000 pensioners received pensions as a result of the checking. 6,200 cases are still to be checked by July 1. 

According to the Minister, state budget saved AMD 4 million in 2011 as a result of checking. AMD 2.7 billion was saved in the system of family allowance and AMD 700 million in unemployment benefit.
