YEREVAN. – Opposition-authorities talks should not repeat the scenario of previous failed attempts, Armenian ruling Republican party MP, member of the coalition working group to dialogue with opposition Gagik Minasyan told the journalists on Thursday.

“We hope that our discussions will lead to positive and constructive results. I have to state once again and hope that our colleagues will change their method of contact. As when we offered previously to justify their arguments set forward and study the existing facts, they rejected,” he added.

Minasyan wished to hold the dialogue in closed format. He also said that foreign colleagues were surprised to know that such meetings should be organized publicly. On the contrary, such meetings should carry working character and not be public. As any expression uttered during the talks becomes the property of public. ANC also shares this viewpoint, ruling MP added.

Opposition-authorities next dialogue is scheduled for August 4. The agenda includes the issue of snap elections.
