YEREVAN. - U.S. dollar continues its devaluation. The average USD/AMD exchange rate made AMD 363/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday. In relation to Thursday devaluation made 0,18 percent. Sales totaled $7,1 million.

Exchange offices purchase dollar at the rate of AMD 361/$1 and sell it at the rate of AMD 364/$1.

Due to U.S. default expectations, dollar has fallen sharply against the Euro and other world currencies on international markets.

As of July 26, 1 Euro cost $ 1.45, although afterwards dollar rate somewhat stabilized. It even partially restored its position: today as of 4:00 p.m. Euro / dollar ratio equaled to 1/1.4243.

Both external and internal factors led to devaluation of dollar in financial market of Armenia. Armenian citizens going on vacations sell the dollars they saved. Increased flow of foreign tourists to Armenia also matters.
