Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) declared force majeure on April 18 in the port of Zueitina, one of the main export ports in the south of the country. This may result in an inability to fulfill contractual obligations.

The National Oil Corporation is forced to declare force majeure in the oil port of Zueitina, as well as in all fields, production stations and shipping facilities associated with this port until further notice, the NOC said in a released statement.
