Turkish professor strongly opposes the initiative to renovate Armenian and Greek historic buildings in the Turkish Ordu province.
Professor of Ordu University Ismail Dogan said no Turkish monuments had been restored in Armenia, therefore they should not renovate Armenian ones, Hurriyet newspaper reports.
“I am against renovation of these monuments. I do not think they should be considered Armenian and Greek buildings. It is architecture of the Black Sea region, nothing more. Who said they are Armenian?” he wonders.
