YEREVAN. - The dialogue of authorities and opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) will come to naught, said the leader of United Progressive Communist Party of Armenia Vazgen Safaryan to a press conference on Friday.

"The agenda of the dialogue lies in political area, they do not discuss vital social and economic issues. This dialogue cannot give practical results, because they are discussing purely political questions. Meanwhile, people do not care who actually holds power, they just want a good quality of life," said Safaryan.

Reflecting on the prospect of early elections, Safaryan said that the Communist Party does not support this idea, because it does not see the need for snap elections.

"Early elections will solve nothing," said the politician.
