YEREVAN. - Monday August 15 declared a day off in Armenia.
Coming Sunday Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) celebrates the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. This is the fourth of the five Great Feasts of the Armenian Church and the oldest of holidays devoted to the Blessed Virgin. The feast is followed by All Souls’ Day (Merelots), which Armenian government declared a free day.
Instead, people will work on Saturday, August 20.
