YEREVAN. – No criminal proceedings have yet been instituted against the man carrying sulfuric acid in Yerevan public minibus. At the moment an examination is being carried out, the press service of Armenian Police informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, five people were hospitalized with chemical burns following an incident in a public minibus in Yerevan on August 10.

It became clear one of the passengers carried sulfuric acid, which spilled out unnoticeably. As a result the driver S. Hovhannisyan, passengers Hamlet Vardanyan, 55, Irina Nazaryan, 55, Gohar Aslanyan, 54, Gevorg Elaryan, 34 and Armen Ohanyan, 26 were taken to hospital with chemical burns. According to witnesses, a fire broke out in the minibus. Two passengers were discharged from hospital after receiving treatment.
