Panarmenian Expo 2009 exhibition opened in Sport-Concert Complex in Yerevan with participation of 160 companies from 15 countries. 90% of goods and services are produced or provided in Armenia, only 10%-abroad. The exhibition is organized by RA Chamber of Commerce.
According to Martin Sargsyan, President of the Chamber of Commerce, ten companies in Expo launched their activities under global economic crisis and presently expose their products. Mainly small and medium-sized enterprise businessmen participate in the exhibition, he noted. “We did not invite those announced high-priority enterprises by RA Government, as they do not have particular problems,” Sargsyan noted.
He stated that the exhibition will contribute to finding of new partners abroad and solution to domestic products’ export problems. Russian, Canadian, U.S., Indian and Iranian delegations were invited to the
exhibition as guests. The event is broadcasted by Internet online. October 24, 2009 Business Forum will be held with involvement of 15 delegations from different states.
RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony.
