YEREVAN.- Armenia’s economic activity in July made 7% as compared with the same period last year, said National Statistical Service of Armenia.
In June, economic activity rate made 2.3%, so that July can be considered a successful month.
Economic growth in Armenia was mainly due to agriculture, where the figure reached 32.4% as compared with July 2010, and 66.2% as compared with June. Growth in construction fell by about 32%.
As regards the other sectors of economy, moderate 10.2% growth was registered in industry, (a 6.7% decrease as compared to the previous month), 5.9% growth was registered in trade and 5.3% - in services.
