YEREVAN.- In 2020 “brain drain” from Armenia will be over and local engineering university will turn into educational and research center fit to international standards, said Armenian businessman Sevak Harutunyan.
 
Head of EV Consulting Sevak Harutunyan presented on Friday a concept of increasing export to the Armenian journalists and businessmen.

According to him, Armenian companies will produce precision equipment amounting to $300-400 million annually, while production worth $200 million will be exported.

However, local businessmen present at the meeting were not enthusiastic about the program. Head of Armen Motors company Karlos Petrsoyan stressed such programs have been presented for several times but appeared not to yield results. Besides, businessmen’s proposals were not taken into account.

Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan present at the meeting noted the concept specified 60 enterprises producing precision equipment, while the number of such enterprises does not exceed 20.
