YEREVAN.- By not coming to the regular round of talks, the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) did not violate any ethical norms, said ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan.

“We were promised that Tigran Arakelyan [ANC activist] will be released in the morning. However, they did not keep the promise and we decided not to participate in the regular round of talks. Due to ethical norms, our representative met to inform the ruling coalition’s delegation of the decision,” he said.

He said the dialogue resembles a chess game when the opponent is kicking under the table.

“We do not play such chess,” he emphasized.

Commenting on coalition’s statement that ANC has no political will to continue the dialogue, Zurabyan accused authorities of lack of political will.

“As regards political will, the ANC displayed its constructive approach and tried to save the dialogue during the last two rounds,” opposition member said.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, the delegation of the Armenian National Congress and the working group of the ruling coalition did not meet on Friday.

The sides were to hold the 7thmeeting at Governmental Reception Hall. The representatives of the ruling coalition were waiting for the ANC representatives. However only Samvel Abrahamyan came to the meeting, saying the ANC considered it inexpedient to come to the meeting.
