YEREVAN. – Head of the Consumers Association of Armenia Armen Poghosyan is categorically against the import of additional Bogdan buses from Ukraine, Poghosyan told the journalists on Friday.
Poghosyan reminded about promise of the Yerevan city mayor on increasing the number of medium and big busses.
“However, I am sure that the medium size Bogdan buses will be mainly imported,” Poghosyan stated and added that it is inadmissible.
The inadmissibility is that 90 percent of population uses the minibuses, while developed countries put the stress on electronic transportation. Moreover, the general plan of Yerevan city intends that minibuses should carry out only 12 percent of transportation.
Currently minibuses have the main share in city transportation, which gives minimum fuel cost but maximum profit.
