YEREVAN. - Armenia registered 4.8% inflation over 12 months – the lowest rate in 2011.
The rate corresponds to the interval provided by the law on state budget (4 ± 1,5%), reported National Statistical Service.
Calculation of monthly inflation is made by 20th day of the month, suggesting that the recent rise in sugar prices has not been taken into account while calculating the rate.
This July 12-month inflation rate made 6.3%.
National Statistical Service reported 0.6% deflation registered in Armenia’s consumer market this August as compared with July.
