YEREVAN. – Armenian police prepares case against chief doctor of Vayk maternity home Metaksya Hovhannisyan, police PR informed Armenian News NEWS.am.

Vayk police received information at 05.00 p.m. on Wednesday that Metaksya H. did not carry out her job properly during the delivery process of a resident of Gndevaz village on August 14. It affected the health of the new born. Police prepares case for carrying out the job improperly.

Armenian News-NEWS.am earlier informed that the baby born on August 14 is in critical condition. Currently he is in Muratsan medical center in Armenian capital. Earlier the “We Won’t Keep Silence” youth initiative uploaded a video, where relatives said that they had to wait for the doctor till she washed her linen and came to assist the woman in delivering the baby. The doctor told them to wait and gave instructions over the phone.

Currently her work is terminated. Armenian Ministry of Healthcare conducts checking in the hospital.
