TBILISI. – Tbilisi dismissed information, which was disclosed by WikiLeaks, that Georgia continues to open its airspace for transporting military cargo for Armenia.

 “Tbilisi had an agreement with Russia on using the airspace. However, the document was denounced by the Georgian parliament,” Georgian Deputy FM Nino Kalandazde told a briefing on Monday.

Kalandadze said that information spread by WikiLeaks should be approached carefully, as its reliability is unknown. The fact itself does not correspond to reality. Russia for several times turned to Georgia to open its airspace but Georgia did not agree. The last time Russia offered it, was in 2008. Currently the agreement with Russia is denounced, Georgia Online reports. 

The scandalous cable is dated back to February, 2010. The cable is classified by the U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John Bass in Washington. He informs that Georgia continues to open its airspace for transporting military cargo for Armenia.
