YEREVAN.- Poverty rate in Armenia reached 46% over the two post-crisis years, said sociologist Aharon Adibekyan.

According to him, before the crisis poverty rate reduced up to 27% in 2008 (7% extremely poor).

In fact, global crisis affected income and living standards of 85% of the Armenian families. The expert said economic crisis caused 14% migration, while 3% of Armenian citizens closed businesses, another 2% had to leave educational institutions.
