YEREVAN. - The average exchange rate of US dollar has gone up after relatively stable position on NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange.

The average rate made AMD 371.5/$1 on Tuesday against AMD 370 on Monday.

Sales totaled only $900,000 which can be explained by the fact that US dollar was offered at the rate of AMD 373/$1 but there was no demand.

US dollar also went up in the cash currency market. The exchange offices purchase US dollar for AMD 369-370/$1 and sell from AMD 372/$1. However, the majority of banks prefer higher exchange rate.
