YEREVAN. - Karabakh Defense Army conscript Lendrush Nazlukhanyan, who was detained on Wednesday for the death of fellow soldier Hayk Mkrtchyan, is charged with murder.

The investigator’s petition to arrest Nazlukhanyan is sent to the First Instance Court of Syunik region on Saturday, Armenian MOD press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, as a result of an argument with his fellow conscript, the 19-year-old Mkrtchyan, who was recruited from Etchmiadzin, Armenia, was killed at a military unit in Askeran, Karabakh, on September 7.  

Investigation Service of the Armenian MOD had launched a criminal case into the affair, and the initial charge was subsequently commuted.
