YEREVAN. – The “Armenia’s Youth Government” NGO plans to turn Russian Astrakhan and Armenian Abovyan into sister-cities.

The NGO is in Astrakhan by the invitation of youth government of Astrakhan region.

The visit is taking place within the framework of CIS countries’ agreement made during "Tsakhkadzor 2011" Youth Forum. A memorandum is signed for the cooperation between Armenian and Russian Astrakhan’s youth governments, which will allow creating basis for youth politics, culture, social and economic development in Astrakhan. Russian parliament supports this initiative, informed "Volga Caspian" news agency.
