YEREVAN. – There were no problems with Karen Karapetyan, who resigned from his capacity as Chief of Armenian Presidential Staff; he simply decided to carry out his activities in another domain, Armenian National Assembly (NA) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan said during a press conference held in the parliament on Tuesday.

“Of course I am sorry to see that he will not be involved in political processes, and he was very active both within the party and in his job,” Abrahamyan noted. “And that is why I find that we should have made use of Karen Karapetyan’s capabilities in politics, but he decided to utilize his abilities in economy.”

In response to the question as to the reason for Karapetyan’s resignation, NA speaker advised to ask that question to Karapetyan himself.
