YEREVAN. – Sometimes information received from press services of Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations and police on the same case is so different that it is unclear what generally occurred.
Such an example is the accident that occurred on Monday night.
According to the press service of the Ministry, an accident occurred on 02.39 a.m. in Noragavit, Yerevan. Samand vehicle crashed the column of an electric light. The column fell on the road. The rescuers took the column from the road. No one is injured.
According to police press service, however, the same vehicle at 03.30 a.m. at the same place crashed a cow. The driver was hospitalized. No comment on how the cow appeared in the street at night.
However, not only description of the accident but also names and ages of people are often different. The situation becomes more intriguing when agencies share denials. Recently police press service informed that a woman intended to commit a self-immolation at Attorney’s General building. The next day the report was unofficially rejected.
Such dissonance, however, does not add credibility to information and its source. It is better for the agencies to coordinate at least the work of their press services.
