YEREVAN. – Businessman MP Samvel Aleksanyan again denied the information that he had purchased the Central Market in Yerevan’s Mashtots Avenue. Aleksanyan stated this during his conversation with journalists in the Armenian National Assembly.
When the news reporters tried to ascertain the veracity of this information, Aleksanyan stated angrily and with an artificial resentment that he did not purchase the aforesaid market, threw the journalists a telephone number, saying “call, and find out that I did not buy it,” and left.
Multi Group Concern’s president Sedrak Arustamyan had informed Armenian News-NEWS.am on Tuesday that the Central Market, which belonged to the Concern, was sold to MP Samvel Aleksanyan, adding that the business deal was signed.
But in his interview 2 days ago with Armenian News-NEWS.am, Samvel Aleksanyan had strongly denied the information that he had purchased from businessman MP Gagik Tsarukyan the Central Market on Mashtots Avenue.
And in response to the question as to why such rumors were spread, the businessman said: “How would I know? Is it possible that I went in there to buy dried fruit?”
