YEREVAN.- The Aravot newspaper writes that Nairi Hunanyan, sentenced to life imprisonment over the 1999 Armenian parliament shooting, appealed to the court to review the punishment.

“First he asked for a public defender. However, his appeal on reviewing the punishment was rejected. According to our sources, another life-term prisoner involved in the case Edik Grigoryan also plans to appeal. Information was confirmed by his lawyer Karo Aghajanyan,” the newspaper writes.
