YEREVAN. - Turkish authorities gave enough reasons for withdrawing Armenian signatures from the Armenian-Turkish protocols, said secretary of ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary group Artyusha Shahbazyan at a briefing on Friday.
“The last step of Turkish side - removal of the protocols from Parliament’s agenda might incite our appropriate response, that is withdrawal of signature,” said Shahbazyan.
On the opening day of regular autumn session of the Armenian Parliament, parliamentary opposition officials from ARFD and Heritage parties raised the issue of futility of protocols ratification process.
In late August, the Turkish parliament removed from the agenda the question of Armenian-Turkish protocols. The protocols can be returned to agenda on the initiative of the Parliament or the Government.
