YEREVAN. – As of September 1, 2011, the monetary benefits provided to 5,300 families of military servicemen who died during Armenia’s protection, or while carrying out military duties, has become 30,000 drams ($80 US), instead of the previous 10,000 drams ($27), for each child in the given family, representatives from Armenia’s Social Security State Service told Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

In addition, the families will now receive these benefits as separate monetary assistance, instead of family benefits, as before.These benefits have considerably increased on the account of making corrections in the lists of such families.
