PreferredSTEPANAKERT. – The adversary’s ceasefire violations at the line of contact between Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces have noticeably increased in the past 2 days.
On Sunday and Monday alone, the Azerbaijani army’s subdivisions fired 450 shots in the direction of Armenian positions, thereby violating the ceasefire more than 100 times. It is noteworthy that such activeness in the offensives by the Azerbaijani side is especially unprecedented close to the festive days in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) and Armenia. In our view, this has the objective of affecting, in any way, the course of celebrations being organized and, of course, the Armenian public mood.
Comprehending the adversary’s intentions, the Command of NKR Defense Army assures that Karabakh forces are capable of suppressing the enemy’s aggressive operations, and, in case of extreme necessity, dealing it the deserving counterstrike, NKR Defense Army Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
