BRUSSELS. – The start of talks on simplification of the visa regime will be announced between Armenia and European Union (EU) at the end of September within EU Eastern Partnership program, head of the European Commission’s Unit for Relations with Russia, Eastern Europe, Southern Caucasus, and Central Asia, in the Commission’s Directorate-General for External Relations Gunnar Wiegand stated.
“Decision on launching talks will be set in a declaration that will be signed in Warsaw. Visa regime simplification aims particularly to reduce the visa cost for Armenians. The procedure of getting visa will become easier for those Armenians who visit EU frequently,” Wiegand said.
