YEREVAN. – Margar Ohanyan, former Chief of Armenian Road Police, has begun testifying against his superior, Hraparak daily writes.
“Naturally, these are first of all directed against Police Chief Alik Sargsyan who, according to Ohanyan’s statement, either knew about the crimes being committed, or everything was carried out with his instructions. Ohanyan decided that he should not become a scapegoat and decided to speak. At present, they are taking his testimony, but, if necessary, it will be circulated. Therefore, there are rumors in the police force that Alik Sargsyan will be the next ‘victim.’ This is partly the reason the Police Chief has begun to appear more, to speak more, and to present himself more democratic,” Hraparak writes.
