MOSCOW. – Russian newspaper Weapons of Russia touched upon the Armenian parade dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
“September 21 Armenian nation celebrates as Independence Day. Armenia gained its independence 20 years ago. Armenia held the most massive military parade last Wednesday in the Republic Square in Yerevan,” the newspaper writes.
According to the source, anti-aircraft missile systems C-300, multiple-launch rocket systems Grad, and tactical missile systems Tochka-U were demonstrated.
“The main peculiarity of the parade is that striking force of the Land Forces of Armenia, tanks and infantry fighting vehicles were carried on belts to preserve the ground. Despite Armenian authorities claim that the parade has been intended several years ago, officers are apt to accept it as a respond to the pageant taken place on June 26 in Baku on the day of Azerbaijani Independence,” the newspaper reports.
