YEREVAN . – The Armenian opposition should better show rejected membership cards of those who had left the Armenian National Congress (ANC), said representative of Armenia’s ruling Republican Party Eduard Sharmazanov.

Him remarks came in response to the recent opposition rally held in Yerevan last Friday when head of the oppositional Armenian National Movement Aram Manukyan showed dozens of rejected membership cards of Republican Party’s former members.

In response Sharmazanov recalled two prominent activists who had left the ANC – former Foreign Minister Alexander Arzumanyan and former Vice Speaker Karapet Rubinyan.

“Republican Party is a living body. People join us and then leave us, but there is no big outflow,” he told journalists on Monday.
