YEREVAN. – Developing relations with France is an important part of Armenia’s foreign policy agenda, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan stated, in Paris on Tuesday, during a work banquet with French MPs.     

On the first day of his visit to Paris, President Sargsyan had a work banquet with members of the French National Assembly, Presidential Press Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

In the President’s words, Armenian-French cooperation is strengthening and deepening in all domains. Sargsyan also expressed confidence that the meetings and talks, scheduled along the lines of his current visit to France and during French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s upcoming visit to Armenia, would become ground-breaking in terms of developing relations between Armenia and France.  

Serzh Sargsyan again thanked the French MPs for their great contribution to Armenian Genocide’s recognition by France. The President also expressed his gratitude to the French people for their warm attitude displayed toward the Armenians during their most difficult times.

Armenia’s President also wished long life to the close Armenian-French relations.
