YEREVAN. - The quality of elite buildings being constructed in Yerevan downtown improves from year to year but there are still gaps and their seismic durability cannot be considered sufficient, said Piruza Abajyan, the head of P Abajian OJSC involved in testing and certification process of building materials.

According to Abajyan, construction companies are faced with serious staff problems nowadays. She also expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that 2 years ago a list of building materials to-be-tested has been reduced. Now it applies only to concrete and reinforced concrete.

"However, some companies are very serious about testing and voluntarily undergo this process," she added.

In 2011 OJSC "P Abajian" has been among top ten awarded with the quality control in Kiev.
