YEREVAN. – Armenia has no Azerbaijani captives after sending Roman Huseynov to the third country, while Azerbaijan still keeps three Armenian servicemen and a family of 5 members, head of the Commission on POWs, Hostages and Missing People Armen Kaprielyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am and added that Huseynov was categorically against the perspective of returning Azerbaijan.

Regarding the three Armenian servicemen, the issue should be solved based on cooperation between the two sides. International low does not provide basis for necessary exchange. All Azerbaijani captives were returned without any pre-conditions.  At the same time, the fate of the Armenian family is known as they intentionally crossed the border and asked for political asylum in Azerbaijan.

Kaprielyan did not exclude that Azerbaijan will try to get dividends from the presence of Armenian servicemen in Azerbaijan and absence of Azerbaijani captives in Armenia.

Armenia has no military captives, whereas Azerbaijan still keeps three Armenian servicemen - Ohan Harutyunyan, Gevorg Tovmasyan and Karen Harutyunyan - as well as a family of 5 members. Father of the family Yegishe Gevorgyan, convicted 8 times, is currently wanted. He is suspected in murder.
