YEREVAN. – Armenian businessman Surik Hakobyan, the owner of Garni-based company producing lavash (Armenian bread) claims that his sons Artyusha and Andranik Hakobyans have no relation to the criminal gang neutralized by the police last week.
According to the preliminary investigation body, Artyusha Hakobyan is the leader of the gang. Yesterday, on September 27, he was accused of banditry and robbery.
In an interview with Radio Liberty the businessman said an attempt is made to take away his business and family members get arrested for this very purpose.
Hakobyan said that apart from his eldest son, the younger one, Andranik Hakobyan, was also taken to the police and questioned yesterday. Moreover, the wife of arrested Artyusha Hakopyan Marina Georgadze has been detained for 4 days.
According to the businessman the police even questioned his 13-year-old grandchild.
Armenian police never slipped a word about this.
