YEREVAN. – Radical actions of the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) on September 30 will be conditioned by the massiveness of the rally. If it is not massive, then no abrupt actions are expected, Prosperous Armenia Party MP Vardan Bostanjyan told the journalists on Thursday.

Comparing the 1988 Karabakh movement Bostanjyan said that such a scenario will not happen again.

“Armenians are clever people and are not apt to achieve something through shocks. I believe that the rally will have a weak influence, if taken into account that party members were asked to bring some other people with them to solve a quantity issue,” MP stated.

He added that, according to him, ANC is an aggrieved group of people of huge desires, who demand to solve problems without taking into account existing possibilities allowing those solutions.

Regarding the suspension of the dialogue between ANC and authorities, MP said that he would like it to resume, as only then success in solution of some issues may be gained. Besides the dialogue continuation may have brought the increase of ANC electorate. However, it lost its chance and currently the Prosperous Armenia party has a chance to increase the electorate.

Bostanjyan commented on the incident between ANC activists and police on August 9, as a result of which ANC activist Tigran Arakelyan is still under arrest. He does not believe that young boys can run political activity and even be political prisoners. Thus, the incident belongs to the legal and not political sphere.

ANC suspended the dialogue with authorities and declared that starts an active political struggle.
