YEREVAN. - Upon the request of journalists Chief of Armenian Police Alik Sargsyan commented on the relationship of the son of famous businessman Surik Hakobyan with the actions of the criminal band neutralized in Yerevan.

"He is a prominent person, everybody knows him, he is a man of power. I personally know Lavash Surik but I do not care what he writes in the newspapers," said the Chief of Police.
 
The son of Surik Hakobyan, Artyusha Hakobyan, was arrested on suspicion of being one of the leaders of the famous gang neutralized in Armenia last week. However, the Chief of Police denied Surik Hakobyan’s allegations that these arrests were made in order to take away his business.
 
"It’s not about business, on the contrary, we would welcome the engagement of former criminal representatives into business sphere," said Sargsyan.
