YEREVAN. – Thanks to Armenia’s first President, leader of oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s ‘service’ no oppositional political power respecting itself will join the ANC. Ter-Petrosyan did everything to set himself against the other opposition powers, deputy chairman of oppositional Heritage party Ruben Hakobyan told the journalists on Monday.
Regarding the ANC offer to be united, Hakobyan stated that offers are made preserving certain ethic norms. Besides, ANC will gain only several seats in the Parliament, while people will gain nothing.
Heritage party has six seats out of 131 in the Armenian Parliament. Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for spring in 2012.
