YEREVAN. – A working forum on stimulating tourism between Armenia and Italy’s Veneto Region got underway in Venice on Tuesday.   

The event is organized by the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia (NCFA), together with the Veneto Region, Venice Chamber of Commerce, and Saint Lazarus Mekhitarist Congregation.   

The forum brought together around 55 companies from both countries, and the reply forum is planned to be held in Armenia’s capital Yerevan in November, NCFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

NCFA Executive Director Arman Khachaturyan delivered the forum’s opening remarks and introduced the possible avenues for developing Veneto-Armenia cooperation in the tourism sector. Meetings are also scheduled with representatives of Veneto’s regional officials, President of Venice Chamber of Commerce, and local Armenian community.
