YEREVAN. - ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party is in favor of any discourse that aims to deepen the country’s democratization process, Dashnaktsutyun MP Hrayr Karapetyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on the ruling coalition’s statement that it will not hold talks with opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) as long as the unlawful rallies continue.

“In terms of our position, we have had the opportunity to say we welcome any discourse that aims to deepen the country’s democratization process and, furthermore, to resolve problems in the country without internal brawls or tendencies to destabilize, and through normal and civilized methods,” Karapetyan noted.

According to him, any dialogue is welcome, albeit they are against such arrangements that do not reflect national interests and, what is more, are kept secret. “We are in favor of public discourse. I believe, however, that both political forces do not reflect the entire political spectrum, and therefore this dialogue can be viewed as coalition-ANC talks, whose conclusion I cannot speculate on,” Hrayr Karapetyan maintained.
