YEREVAN. – There is a festive commotion these days at Parakar village of Armenia’s Armavir Region, Hraparak daily writes.
“[Ruling coalition’s] Republican [Party of Armenia] head of the village Samvel Vardanyan is preparing to organize a celebration marking the village’s day, which is on October 8. But the whole problem is that he decided to hold the celebration devoted to his village at the expense of the villagers. According to our information, he specifically collects 3,000-5,000 drams ($8-13 US) from the workers, and this has angered many. Vardanyan’s village-donated activity especially angered the teachers, as 5,000 drams will be cut from their salaries,” Hraparak writes.
