YEREVAN. – Residents of Berd region’s Choratan and Verin Karmir Aghbyur villages enviously look upon neighboring Norashen village, whose main street is asphalted, Yerkir daily writes. “The asphalting was done thanks to efforts by Norashen native and [Armenian] Defense Ministry General Arshaluys Paytyan. The work was done in “general-like” fashion: thoroughly. The road constructors even built drainage lines along one side of the road.
Norashen village’s neighbors complained to us: ‘So what if we don’t have a general, will our roads not be asphalted?’ To note, General Paytyan is constructing a 2-story house at his place of birth, across his family home, and the road is next to his house,” Yerkir writes.
