Armenian National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan is worried, Hraparak daily writes. “He stated among his close associates that he cannot understand why the boss [President Serzh Sargsyan] has changed [his attitude] toward him. He also stated that in recent days the President is commissioning the PM [Tigran Sargsyan] on matters concerning the Party [ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA)].   

Strengthening of Tigran Sargsyan’s positions also manifested by the fact that he delivered on behalf of RPA the “message” addressed to [Armenia’s former President Robert] Kocharyan, noting that Serzh Sargsyan supported him for 10 years and now it is time to return the debt. RPA circles also don not rule out [the possibility] that the attitude toward Abrahamyan is linked to a possible Kocharyan-[businessman MP Gagik] Tsarukyan tandem, where the in-law Abrahamyan plays a huge role, even though Sargsyan promised Abrahamyan that he definitely will be in RPA’s proportional [election] list. By the way, Abrahamyan’s absence during yesterday’s football match also confirms the aforesaid,” Hraparak writes.
