YEREVAN. – By way of MFA and National Security Service, Armenia’s authorities have put diplomatic channels into action to bring back their citizens who are in European countries and are mainly political asylum seekers, Zhoghovurd daily writes, referring to its sources.  

“And the objective is to secure number of people who return to Armenia and to cover up the volume of emigration. In his interview with Zhoghovurd , MFA Spokesperson Tigran Balayan said no one has the right to enter the camps of political asylum seekers and they cannot learn information on those who are in these camps.     

Perhaps that is so, formally, but let us not forget that, based on respective international agreements, Armenia is obligated to accept its citizens who are in other countries illegally,” Zhoghovurd adds.
