Opposition Armenian National Congress’ (ANC) statements are very far from reality, ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia MP and head of Armenia’s delegation to Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Davit Harutyunyan stated during a briefing with news reporters on Tuesday, commenting on ANC representatives’ declaration that this European organization has done a deal with Armenian authorities.  

“ANC’s statements are very far from reality. I observe ANC’s declaration solely in the context of political battle and public policy. The deal they refer to simply cannot take place,” Harutyunyan noted.

In her turn, the aforementioned delegation’s member and opposition Heritage Party MP Zaruhi Postanjyan stated that the accepted document was the result of our own conduct. “This is very bad because we have no factual results. What were we doing so that such document would not be accepted. What was our conduct after March 1 [2008 tragedy in Armenia]? I took the floor and said the monster of election fraud was born in [19]95. The mistake is in us,” Postanjyan argued.
