YEREVAN. - Opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) stated, on many occasions, about the meaninglessness of dialogue with the authorities, Haykakan Zhamanak daily’s chief editor and opposition member Nikol Pashinyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on the statement made by Davit Harutyunyan, ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia MP and head of coalition working group conversing with ANC. Harutyunyan had noted: “Armenia’s authorities are ready for dialogue with the Armenian National Congress, but they are not prepared to beg.”

“In fact, ANC’s resolution made public during the daylong rallies has given the answer to that. And to tell the truth, the authorities’ statements and steps do not interest me. I am more interested in the steps by ANC and the nationwide movement. ANC stated about the meaninglessness of dialogue,” Pashinyan maintained.     

He also did not rule out the possibility that the next rally to be held on October 28 could become 24/7. “It could become daylong and for an indefinite time. And what concretely will take place, and when, depends on the political situation,” Nikol Pashinyan noted, adding, however, that meetings and discussions will be held until October 28.
